How can I get metal card samples?
You can get samples of our metal cards via our samples page at – https://metalkards.com/samples/
What if I don’t have artwork?
No problem! Let our talented in-house design team create the perfect card for you based on your current logo and feedback. Simply select our Metal Card Design Package. We’ll make your cards perfect – or your money back.
Can you create a sample for my order?
We can do a sample run for your project as a custom order!
Our manufacturing process works great for bulk production, where we have to make plates and screens and do a full production setup whether we make 1 card or 1000qty. While creating a single sample may take a bit longer, we ensure that every card, even just one, meets the same high-quality standards as any larger order. The cost of a sample card for most projects is $200 per design, and will take a similar turn time as a full scale run, depending on the processes required.

Can I order just ONE metal card?
Yes, we can create one card as a custom sample order. Please contact us for details.

What is the standard turnaround time?
Our general production takes 12-17 business days after order is placed and artwork is approved. Please call or email us for expedited delivery options – in most cases we can offer Rush 10-12 business days service with Overnight Shipping for Rush orders.
How do I send artwork for my order?
The easiest way is during ordering cards – simply select the quantity of cards you’d like from any of our card builder pages. Next, under “artwork service” choose if you will supply your own artwork, or have our professional design team create your layout. Either selection will provide you with UPLOAD buttons to select files.

Are there setup fees?
No! If you supply your artwork in 100% vector with the correct layout we will create a free proof for you. Send us your art if you are unsure to sales@metalkards.com – if you need us to vectorize your artwork, we offer our design services at discounted rates for our customers.
Can you do multiple names/cards for a Corporate Order per Employee?
Absolutely! We offer better, discounted rates for multiple sets of cards or special custom printing needs, please contact us at sales@metalkards.com or call +1 (866) 314-5273
What's included with all Metal Kard orders?
We want to give you the best product at the best price. Our base pricing includes all cut-through, die cut areas, standard surface etching, rounded corners AND one screen printed color. Each card also comes in it’s own protective plastic sleeve, so you’re giving out perfection every time.
Do you ship internationally? Can you take orders outside the United States?
We currently only take payments and ship orders within the United States and Canada. Under certain circumstances, we may be able to take orders for Mexico and Western Europe, contact us for a quote.
Do you offer a metal card artwork template?
Yes we do! You’ll want to decide if you would like your card in Credit Card (85mm x 54mm) or Business Card (89mm x 51mm) size – the cost is the same but credit card size will fit in wallets and gift card slots whereas traditional business card size will not.

Can you make Credit Card Size metal cards?
Absolutely, and we recommend it! There is no cost difference to use Credit Card / Gift Card (85mm x 54mm) or Business Card (89mm x 51mm) size.
Why use Credit Card Size? Because credit card size will fit in wallets and gift card slots whereas traditional business card size will not. We’ve also found that nearly all business card holders will also fit credit card size – a credit card is slightly shorter and taller than a business card.

Your cards should stand out, and reflect your creativity and passion. With beautiful, durable printed colors!
How do you apply the printed colors?
We developed a unique way to apply printed color to metal cards that is highly durable and creates a great visual look! First, we etch the card surface down, then fill with our silkscreen colors to the PMS match of your choice, right onto the surface of our metal cards. With our precision technique we call "Etch+Fill", we can get very detailed art into our extra high weave silkscreens.
We use ultra high quality, enamel silkscreen inks (solid spot colors), and we also can apply CMYK UV cured inks to the card surface for Full Color Printing of images and photos. Learn more about our Metal Card Printing.
Can you print in Full Color (CMYK) ?
Absolutely! We lay down an opaque white ink, then print in 4-color process that is UV cured for stunning full color printing on your metal business cards.
Can you create a QR code for us?
Yes, we can create a QR code based on your website URL, vCard information, and more with any active order. Learn more about our Metal Card QR Codes
What size should my QR code be?
We recommend 0.75 inches square or larger. We have had issues with QR codes smaller than 0.5 inches.
Do you recommend an app to read QR Codes?
Apple® and Google®, with the top two phone operating systems (iOS®, Android®) have been implementing QR code reading abilities into their phones slowly over the last couple of years. Also, within Google Chrome and other browsers on either platform, you can scan a QR code by going to the URL box, and on the keyboard hitting the QR code icon. Other apps for specific QR codes, like social media (Snapchat, Instagram, etc.) will include a QR code reader using your camera.
There are many apps in the app store for your device, which may give additional features for scanning QR codes. This is helpful to see the exact output of the programming.

An auto parts machinist sponsoring a local event came to us with a unique request: a metal card with a finish that looked like car paint, to use as a promo giveaway. New technologies like waterjet cutting (using pressurized water) and laser engraving were opening up exciting possibilities, with computers making it all more precise. Plasma cutting, CAD files for CNC machines, and eventually even 3D metal printing—all of it became part of our process. This is what we’re all about.
